On 26 February 2026, an event will take place in the Aula of the Romanian Academy (125 Calea Victoriei), organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Biological Sciences, on the occasion of the return to Romania of the ROICE 2026 expedition members.

ROICE 2026 represents the fifth Romanian research expedition to the polar continent, carried out between 24 January and 14 February 2026 at King Sejong Station, operated by the Korea Polar Research Institute, on King George Island.

All members of the expedition are members of the Romanian Society of Bioengineering and Biotechnology.
