CONFERENCE Biotechnologies/ Challenges and contributions in the fields of health, climate change, food security

 

The Romanian Society of Bioengineering and Biotechnology (www.srbb.ro), affiliated to the European Federation of Biotechnology (FEB), in partnership with the National Research and Development Institute for Biological Sciences (www.incdsb.ro), invites you on June 20 2024 at the conference Biotechnologies/Challenges and contributions in the fields of health, climate change, food security.

The event will take place in the senate hall of the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest.

The themes addressed by the works presented in the framework of the conference are the following:

- Agricultural and food biotechnologies;

· Bioengineering and bioprocessing in biology and medicine;

· Biotechnologies in obtaining advanced materials;

· Environmental biotechnologies.

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR THE BLACK SEA

 

On May 4, 2023, the Implementation Plan for the Black Sea (SRIA- Seas, Rivers, Islands and Costal Areas) was launched at the European Parliament.
On behalf of the Romanian Society of Bioengineering and Biotechnology, Dr. Manuela Sidoroff, the president of SRBB has participated. The SRIA implementation plan aims to protect the unique habitat that is the Black Sea by supporting marine sectors that will stimulate blue growth and implicitly create new jobs

SRIA adress the fundamental challenges of the Black Sea, to promote the blue economy, build vital support systems and innovative research infrastructure,  enhance education, and build capacity. SRIA will be a long-lasting guide to catalyse new ideas and innovations towards and with Black Sea community and beyond with adjacent regional, actors and instruments.
